A meeting of the Scientific Council was held on March 2 at the headquarters of the Educational Research Institute. A summary and photo gallery of the meeting are presented below.

The results of the PIRLS 2021 survey, which will be announced in May 2023, will help answer the question of how the pandemic and distance learning have affected elementary school students’ reading knowledge and skills. This is because the PIRLS 2021 survey was conducted among students during the most difficult period of the pandemic (pilot in the spring of 2020 and the main survey in the late spring of 2021). 

“We are currently working with CEDEFOP to describe the vocational education system and the policies and activities implemented for vocational education in Poland," explains Jerzy Bielecki, IBE expert and head of ReferNet in Poland.

The Director of the Educational Research Institute participated in the festive celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Main Council of Research Institutes. During the event, he received an award given to the most innovative institutions in Poland.

A press conference on the launch of Mobile Future Labs was held at Elementary School No. 58 in Lublin. Przemysław Czarnek, Minister of Education and Science and Justyna Orłowska, Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Education and Science for Digital Transformation and Head of GovTech Poland presented the premises of the project. The ministers also participated in a workshop on digital education for students and teachers, led by experts from the Educational Research Institute.

The largest technology event in Europe for women was held in Warsaw. “Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022” is an inspiring place full of information, creativity and exchanges of experience. 

An agreement on cooperation with the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled People was signed at the Institute's headquarters.
